Malaysia’s Nibong Tebal Paper Mill Bets on Solar Energy

New investment in solar energy Malaysia’s Nibong Tebal Paper Mill Sdn Bhd (NTPM) has teamed up with Solarvest Holdings Bhd to implement a solar project with a capaciry of 8.9MWp solar project.
The investment, valued at RM27 million ($5.7 million), is to power NTPM’s facilities in the Malaysian market, enabling the firm to cut its carbon emissions and align with the country’s greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting requirements, local industry news site Solarquarter.com reported.
The Malaysian company specialises in producing household products such as Premier tissue and eco-friendly Cutie Compact tissue. NTPM has been active in the market since 1975.
