Port Hawkesbury Paper Promotes Bruno D'Amato

Port Hawkesbury Paper announced that it has promoted Bruno D’Amato to Director, Canadian and Specialty Paper Sales. He will also retain his position as Technical Field Sales Manager.

D’Amato brings more than 40 years of experience in the printing and paper industries, with a background spanning pressroom operations, paper purchasing, production management and technical service.

He began his career in 1984 after studying graphic arts at Central Technical School in Toronto. Over the following two decades, he held positions in pressroom operations, scheduling, estimating, purchasing and logistics, gaining experience in both web offset and sheetfed printing.

In 2004, D’Amato transitioned to the paper manufacturing side of the industry as a Technical Service Representative. He subsequently worked with Stora Enso, Stora North America and NewPage before continuing his career at Port Hawkesbury Paper.

John Picklesimer, President of Sales at Port Hawkesbury Paper, highlighted D’Amato’s practical printing experience and longstanding customer relationships as important factors in the appointment.

“Bruno understands our customers’ business from the pressroom floor up,” Picklesimer said.
